These Are the Prettiest Places to Live in British Columbia

Canada is known for its natural beauty, offering plenty of beautiful landscapes that are absolutely gorgeous. One province that is particularly known for its beauty is British Columbia, a region that is home to many beautiful sceneries. No matter what you find beautiful in nature, British Columbia likely has something to offer you. So if you’re new to the area and are wondering what beautiful scenes to check out, where should you start? Here are the prettiest places to live in British Columbia.

Cowichan Bay

Cowichan Bay is a historic waterfront community on Vancouver Island, largely known for the “Cowichan Bay lifestyle”. Residents engage in Cittaslow, a cultural trend known for taking things slow and relaxed. Perhaps that’s why local residents are so happy, or maybe it’s because of the area’s beautiful sights. Cowichan Bay is located right on the Pacific Ocean, offering beautiful seaside views. Additionally, the community is small, unique, and inclusive, being quite charming for tourists.

Whistler

Whistler is one of the most popular ski resorts in North America, but that’s not the only thing that the area has going for it. Whistler is home to some beautiful snow swept landscapes, resulting in some amazing views. The resort area is also extremely cozy as well, providing tourists with a great place to shop and entertain themselves. The area is extremely well known, even hosting the Olympic Winter Games at one point in time. Even if you’re not big into extreme winter sports, Whistler is still a great place to visit. However, if you’re a skier or snowboarder who also wants to see some amazing views, then you definitely will want to look into real estate for sale in Whistler

Prince Rupert

Prince Rupert is located in the northwestern portion of British Columbia, making it an extremely remote destination. One of the reasons why this area is so pretty is due to the abundance of wildlife in the area. The Khutzeymateen Grizzly Sanctuary bear habitat is close by, and many forms of wildlife can be seen while hiking the surrounding area. Just like with Cowichan Bay, Prince Rupert is located on the Pacific Ocean, providing a great view of the Pacific Ocean. If you’re looking to get extremely close to nature and see a variety of wildlife, perhaps you should check out a semi-remote destination like Prince Rupert.

Rossland

Also located in British Columbia is the beautiful area of Rossland. However, unlike some other areas on this list, Rossland isn’t located on the Pacific Ocean but instead is close to the province of Alberta. Rossland has plenty of amazing views to offer, as well as many great activities to go with it. During the winter months, the local Red Mountain Resort attracts thousands of tourists. During the other months of the year, Rossland is known for several activities such as biking, golfing, and fishing. If you’re one who fills their day with several activities and wants a beautiful backdrop while you do so, Rossland is a fantastic place to do it.
